WHY SHOULD I TAKE THIS TRAINING ?

Mastering aerial and underwater video at the same time is quite a challenge. During 9 days you will have the chance to learn the basics of scuba diving, snorkelling as well  underwater and aerial video. You will put your talents into practice to produce a video using a 6K camera. Together we will lead a team of professional models, we will practice aerial and underwater video in breathtaking locations where Planet Earth and Discovery Chanel have produced several of their documentaries. This adventure will open you new horizons, enrich your experience and will be for many of you a revelation. It could be the gateway to achieve your dream vision!

EXPEDITION & TRAINING

Day 1

You will be met at the CANCUN airport by our team who will take you to your hotel in Isla Mujeres.

You will have plenty of time to check in and unpack. In the evening a TREBAS expedition group meeting will take place at the hotel where we will review all the equipment necessary for your training.

Day 2

During this day you will receive your initiation to scuba diving at the Caribbean Connections diving school, partner of NAB Productions. Your first dive in the wild will be in the largest underwater museum in the world in which you will discover more than 400 statues. Your second dive will be at Manchones Reef, part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, where you can see more than 500 species of fish. You will have the opportunity to practice your photography skills in order to make this adventure memorable and unforgettable.

Day 3

Our team will take you swimming with whale sharks as they migrate into Mexican waters (June to September). Do not miss this dazzling opportunity! Swimming next to the biggest fish in the world is really out of the ordinary. Do not let the size of this big fish scare you!

Whale sharks are completely harmless to humans. These majestic creatures feed primarily on plankton. Swimming on the surface of the water facilitates swimming with them. A new opportunity to practice photo shooting.

Day 4

Aerial video / Steadycam with RED Dragon (Punta sur)

This day will be dedicated to drone and steadycam training. We will spend the whole day on the southern tip of the island.

This time, we will be in the application of the notions of capture and video productions. Professional models will accompany us and take on their roles as actresses for the video we will make. 

This event will be done using a camera RED DRAGON

Day 5

Departure early in the morning for your hotel in the city of Tulum (about 2 hours from Isla Mujeres).

On the way we will make a stop at the beach SANTA FE to contemplate this beautiful site that nature offers us. Keep in mind that no aquatic activity will take place during this day.

We will take advantage of the evening to view the ‘’rushes’’ of the previous days and start the postproduction training.

Day 6

We will begin the day at the splendid CASA CENOTE to immortalize your sunrise with the help of the drone. At the end of the day, we will be south of TULUM in LAGUNA KAAN LUUM to capture the rays of the sunset.

We will complete our post-production project in the late evening.

Day 7

We will leave early for an underwater photo and video session in the magical jungle of TULUM and its caves (The cenotes). This day will be dedicated to the exploration of two Cenotes, CAR WASH and TAK BE HA where you will discover a fascinating and wonderful world!

You will have free evening to explore the village and restore yourself.

Day 8

Departure to CANCUN airport on time.

Day 9 (Montreal)

Technical day that will be dedicated mainly to postproduction. The team will be together to share their impressions. Moments conducive to reflections, exchanges, sharing images and videos!

Everything will be there!

To close this adventure, a certificate of completion will be given to you.
